I wasn't quite sure what the SBR would comprise and found examples on the shapeways web site. I have acquired a suitable number of SG92R servos for my purpose but now understand that the SBR will be supplied complete with servos. Is the version of the SBR Ratio Signal Motorising Base on the shapeways site up to date? I understand that a modification was required before release of the final kit, including the servos, via the normal suppliers.

Hi
The current retailers who stock the SBR are supplying the SBR as a complete kit. I have updated the Shapeways shop with the new model and it should be available as a single unit in the next few days. It will be the first time the new model is available through Shapeways so will appear as 'First to Buy'.

Hi Paul,
I now have an SBR kit and have downloaded the manual. Unfortunately, I am struggling a bit as there are no illustrations and I am not sure what the terms "horn", "signal activation lever" and "shoe" relate to. Any assistance would, as always, be gratefully received.

Horn = the arm that comes with the servo that fits on the spline.
Signal activation lever = the lever that sticks out of the bottom of the ratio signal
Shoe = the little 'U' channel pieces sprued on to the SBR which you should not need, but are there in case you do. They just clip on to the servo horn to make it wider.

Thank you Paul. Shapeways were struggling to make the units without the shoes falling off. Now I know that it doesn't matter if they do.
