We were going to use the Heathcote MAS and IR system to control the signals on our layout 'Whitedown Junction' but now I'm re-pondering the use of SC1s on a layout. But we are looking for Primary goals - mostly automatic operation, across 3 aspect signals that span different routes with feathers. So will set the red, yellow, green sequence back along the route.
- A 'hold at red' function
Secondary goals
- Mimic Diagram capability
- Computer interfacing
We are prepared to retro fit some kind of block detection or we can use IR detection but it would be helpful if these were also DCC based. What other things might we need? Can this be done easily or am I breaking out an old laptop to run JMRI Cheers, Marcus

Hi Marcus
Just to summarise the answer I gave on Facebook, get a Raspberry Pi 3 and a Sprog 3 to run JMRI. It will be much more flexible than a hardwired solution, and will provide everything you need with SC1 signal decoders and a feedback solution for block occupancy.
