I have the SC1 and DP8 combination to control a few Dapol signals. The DP8 uses addresses in the range 125-132 to control the signals via my NCE Powercab.
I know how to reset the DP8 but I am finding that sometimes when I power everything up the DP8 forgets the addresses I have allocated and I have to reprogram.
Any ideas why this is happening ?

Hi Geoff
Sometimes a short power interruption can induce a factory reset on the SC1. It is best to not connect the SC1 to a track supply that is subject to short circuits or power interruptions.
If it is not possible to provide a stable track supply for the SC1 (and the NCE powercab has a very sensitive trip) you might like to power the SC1 with a double insulated 5V power supply (such as a USB phone charger) via the 'a' and 'k' terminals.

Thanks Paul Happily I have not had a problem with this recently. Although I have the NCE Power Cab/ SB3a Booster combination, it is not connected directly to the track but via a DCC Specialties PSX circuit breaker. The trip current on this board can be adjusted so if I encounter the problem again I might experiment with the settings.
