Paul, How can the SC1 be used to control Pennsylvania Railroad dwarf position light signals? I have them configured in JMRI using the "PRR 1956: Position light dwarf signal" Appearance Table. They are set so that they can display all aspects: Slow Clear, Slow Approach, Restricting and Stop.

Hi Markl
The PRR 1956 system in JMRI will need to be fixed first, it has the same 'Yellow' appearance for slow approach and restricting, restricting should be 'Lunar'.
There is no configuration built in to the SC1 for the position light dwarf, so it could be defined in the 'User Defined' configuration. It should be possible to have a single head on each SC1.
It could also be defined using the CV38=8 configuration, and then it should be possible to use the matrix driver in JMRI to drive each of the lamps directly.

Hi Paul, I checked the JMRI AAR 1946 position light dwarf definition, but that has both Slow Clear and Slow Approach as green. I'll have a look at a user defined configuration. Thanks for the reply, Mark

Ypu might be OK with using the Matrix driver, I think that ignores the heads altogether so head 'colour' will be irrelevent so you might get away with using either system.

The user defined configuration with CV38=135 works fine. The NJ International signals are common anode so I set CV35=255. Then with lower right lamp E, middle F, upper G and lower right H, I set JMRI to send Stop as aspect 0, Slow Clear as 1, Slow Approach 2 and Restricting as 3. Setting CV192=9 (E H), CV193=3 (G H), CV194=10 (E G) and CV195=5 (F H) does the job perfectly. I've uploaded the JMRI DecoderPro specification Signalist_SC1_PRR_Dwarf_Test.xml (20.53 KB) and the JMRI PanelPro test file SC1_PRR_Dwarf_Test_Panel.xml (11.24 KB). Note: PRR dwarf signals come in left hand and right hand versions. These are the settings for a right hand version. A left hand one would have E lower left and H lower right. All goes to show that the SC1 is an excellent piece of kit and will support almost any signal configuration.
