Hi, I bought the SC1 & DP8 from CoastalDCC, very responsive, based on suggestions in the DCC Concepts sponsored DCC Model Rail Forum. I'm in Canada modelling UK protoypes & altho' quite familiar with DCC loco decoders am a complete newbie when it comes to ancillary decoders such as combined SC1/DP8 for Dapol signals. I'm using Lenz LZX100 power station with both the 100 & 90 throttles. While I think I can figure out your excellent instructions of wiring together the SC1 & DP8, wiring in the up to 8 signals & getting power to the combined units I'm at a complete loss as to how I program the decoder, where it is & then how to operate it. My apologies if this seems a might stupid, there must be something I'm just not getting so would appreciate any wisdom. With many thanks, Gervais

Hi Gervais
To program the SC1 you just need to connect the DCC terminals of the SC1 to your program track and program CV38 to 15. The address of the decoder can be set either using the jumper method described in the SC1 manual or by programming CV1 and CV9 and setting CV29 to 128.
When using the DP8 the address of the first signal has to be a multiple of four plus one (e.g. 1, 5, 9, 13 etc.) and the remaining signals will all be addressed consecutively.

Thank you so much Paul I really appreciate the prompt response & a company that willingly talks to its customers. I look forward to getting on with this project. Best wishes, Gervais
